Man granted permission to keep farm buildings

A boar farmer has been granted permission to temporarily keep farm buildings on his land.
Alan Dedames lives at the Wild Boar Woodland, in West Anstey near the Devonshire town of Tiverton.
The 43-year-old has been battling for five years to keep a worker's dwelling and farm buildings on the land after suspected animal rights activists released 100 of his boars in 2005.
Some of the animals were recaptured, but were later re-released in another attack.
Mr Dedames has lived on his land since the attacks in order to protect his animals, but he did not receive planning permission from North Devon District Council before erecting the farm buildings.
In 2007 he was ordered to take the buildings down but the High Court has since ruled in his favour.
The York Press recently reported that farm buildings in the village of Hessay near York were targeted by arsonists twice in one night, causing considerable damage.
