Grandmother prevented from accessing freezer in garden shed

A grandmother from Rudheath in Northwich has been unable to access her freezer, which she keeps in her garden shed, due to unfinished gasworks on her property.
Helen Niblett, of Marple Road, was unable to access the shed and garden to the rear of her property for more than a week as engineers failed to fill in a hole they had created to replace a gas pipe, the Northwich Guardian reports.
The engineers, from National Gas Alliance, started the work on 53-year-old Ms Niblett's drive on December 7th.
Ms Niblett, who is currently suffering from a leg ulcer, told the newspaper: "The engineers had been up our road for just over a week and had finished all the front gas work.
"They cleared up all the front, and then they just disappeared," she said.
The hole on Ms Niblett's drive was filled after the newspaper contacted the National Gas Alliance.
Earlier this month, the Watford Observer reported that a disabled woman in Bedmond had been given a free mobility scooter and a garden shed in which to store it.
