Garden shed makes shortlist for Don't Move, Improve! 2010

A garden shed has made it onto the shortlist for the Don't Move, Improve! 2010 competition.

Run by New London Architecture (NLA), the competition celebrates the best and most innovative home extensions and small office conversions in London.

As well as the garden shed in Hackney, another project that has made it onto the shortlist of 50 developments is a basement extension in Wandsworth, bdonline.co.uk reports.

"The quality of the work we reviewed was a real eye opener; back extensions are a piece of hidden London - the only people who see them are the neighbours," NLA chairman Peter Murray told the building website.

An exhibition showcasing the shortlisted projects will go on display at the Building Centre on December 17th and will run until February 26th.

Last month, Mike Holmes wrote in a piece on Halifax News Net that a property's value can be enhanced through the purchase of a garden shed.ADNFCR-2655-ID-800290870-ADNFCR
