Garden sheds feature in commemorative calendar

17:12:20 9th December 2010

Garden sheds have featured in a commemorative calendar created by worshippers at a South Lakeland church.

The calendar has been made to celebrate the 900th anniversary of Ulverston Parish Church, which is known as 'the church of the four ones' because it was founded in 1111, the West Morland Gazette reports.

Local man Colin Evans took the 12 photos that make up the calendar, which shows garden sheds being used for a variety of different purposes.

One picture shows a man inside a shed with his treasured train set and another depicts one of the structures used by a magician to store his equipment.

"When we spoke to other members we found there were many other people who owned sheds and there were quite a few unusual uses for the structures," Helen Huck, a church member who has helped organise the project, told the newspaper.

The South Wales Echo recently encouraged people to send in photographs of their wintry-looking garden sheds. ADNFCR-2655-ID-800283260-ADNFCR
