Competition taking place to showcase garden sheds

With many parts of the UK still suffering from freezing temperatures and snow, people are being encouraged to take photos of wintry-looking garden sheds as part of a competition.
According to South Wales Echo columnist Andrew Wilcox, Cuprinol, a wood preservatives manufacturer, is sponsoring the Shed of the Year 2011, where people will be able to showcase their timber and plastic garden sheds and other outdoor buildings.
Writing in the newspaper, Mr Wilcox stated: "The great thing with the recent weather is that sheds look lovely with snow on their roofs - some look like they are straight out of a fairytale."
The winner of the best photograph, which doesn't have to feature snow but must showcase a shed, will take home a prize worth £1,000.
Last year's winner was Reg Miller, who took the prize for pictures of his shed called The Lady Sarah Out of Worthing, Southend-on-Sea.
The garden shed was designed to look like a pirate's cabin and featured a full range of sea-faring gadgets.
