How to organise garden sheds

14:10:20 11th October 2010

Keeping garden sheds organised can make sure owners are getting the most from them, but where is best to start?

Having a clear idea of what should be kept in a garden shed is the first step - according to lazysusanfurniture.co.uk - and owners of garden sheds should make a list of everything they want in them.

Meanwhile, any other objects should be discarded as soon as possible.

The blog recommends taking everything out of the garden shed and organising it into sections, such as things no longer wanted, implements that will be needed regularly and tools that need to be repaired.

Items that are used often should be easily accessible, while any chemical products should be locked away or stored on high shelves to prevent children reaching them.

Hooks can be added for extra storage space and - if there is room - partitions can be added to divide the space into clear sections.

Recently, the Essential Garden Guide suggested that garden sheds are the perfect storage facility for families lacking space.
