Garden sheds 'a man's haven'

Garden sheds are desirable escapes craved particularly by men, according to one publication.
Christopher Howse of the Telegraph extols garden sheds as places of almost spiritual quality and havens of escape.
He suggests that men are particularly partial to desiring the outdoor structures as their own private space, as they desire their own environment for working on projects.
Many writers have cited garden sheds as their preferred places of work, some even including them in the texts themselves.
A lover of sheds, he notes, can be described as a sekophile.
"The sekophile is a utopian. In his shed he constructs the ideal society, even though it has to be a society of one. It is ideal, that is, for someone who likes his own society, and it is exclusive by definition," Mr Howse comments.
Meanwhile, the Pip Team blog recently suggested garden sheds are perfect spaces to use as music rooms, children's playhouses or reading rooms.
