Garden sheds 'perfect for outdoor storage'

11:09:20 6th September 2010

Garden sheds can provide the ideal solutions for storage outdoors, it has been suggested.

While the home may not be ideal for storing garden tools and related equipment, a garden shed could be the perfect place, according to the Pikibook blog.

Garden sheds can also provide a splash of colour to the garden and come in various materials depending on what they will be used for.

Metal garden sheds are highly durable and can withstand most weather conditions, while wooden garden sheds blend in well with the garden.

Plastic garden sheds have the advantage of being easily extendible should more space or extra features be needed.

The blog also notes that such structures can be used for a variety of things other than storage, such as a playhouse for children, a garden office or a personal escape.

Recently, the Essential Garden Guide suggested that wooden garden sheds require less maintenance than commonly thought.
