This is because of the increasing amount of fittings available for such buildings, as well as the increase in their aesthetic appeal, according to the blog.

It also suggests that events such as the Shed of the Year competition have increased their popularity, as well as encouraged people to convert their shed into something other than a storage space.

This year's Shed of the Year winner was Reg Miller, who converted his shed into a replica of a pirate ship.
