Gardens 'can be fun for all the family'

Gardens can be great places for children to learn about gardening as well as being a place to play.
Francine Raymond, writing for the Telegraph, has praised the efforts of keen gardeners Lucy and Dom Redmond in using their garden to educate their children.
Tilly and Flori, the couple's two daughters, were encouraged to take part in the gardening from a very young age, as well as to play freely in it, rather than in a restricted space.
Ms Raymond comments: "Their philosophy is that children must learn what can harm them, and where they can do harm," which can be achieved by fewer boundaries in the garden.
Recently, Sans Anjay, an author of several gardening books and blogs, commented that garden sheds were an ideal place to form playhouses for children - especially if they take part in its decoration.
