Garden sheds 'becoming a more popular topic of conversation'

Garden sheds are becoming an increasingly popular topic of conversation.
Such is the assertion of the Daily Telegraph's Adam Edwards, who notes that while sheds used to be something that only men really talked about, a passion for garden sheds "has now hit mainstream Britain".
The rising popularity of garden sheds, he points out, can be partially attributed to the fact that more people are able to work from home, with an increasing number of consumers opting to use their shed as a place in which to do work away from the office.
Mr Edwards adds: "The joys of the hut at the end of the garden are of consuming interest to man. Its size, mod cons and winter heating costs are the conversational fodder in the saloon bar of life."
Speaking to the publication last October, Dave Jarvis claimed that having a home office garden establishes "a complete distinction between work and home", as he reported that using a garden shed to work from can cut down on the amount of time spent commuting to and from a commercial office.
