Garden sheds are home havens

Garden sheds can be used for so much more than the traditional storage facility used until recently.

While garden sheds can be used as simple storage, they can also be part of the home - and used to improve quality of life.

The Home Honey Do blog has suggested that garden sheds can provide a wide variety of space solutions, including a place to escape, somewhere to work on hobbies, a play den for children, or an office for those working from home.

It looks at the benefits of using garden sheds, as opposed to rooms in the home, for this purpose - not only allowing a greater sense of escape but also easy maintenance and the option of purchasing something to suit individual needs.

The blog states: "Nowadays you can buy them pre-built to your needs in all shapes and sizes, the larger the garden, the bigger the office."

Working from home is on the rise, with 48% of workers now wanting to spend at least part of the week working from home, according to a survey by Reed Specialist Recruitment.
