Industrial buildings few and far between for US baker

09:08:20 4th August 2010

Industrial buildings lie at the centre of a dilemma for a baker at the moment, who is unable to find the premises he needs.

Ross Einfield needs to find industrial buildings to keep his co-owned bakery running - and has until the end of the month.

Kub Bread, destroyed by a fire two years ago, has been working out of rented buildings since. However, as the insurance deadline looms, Mr Einfield has been given until the end of this month to find new premises.

A drastic shortage of industrial buildings in Winnipeg is suggested to have been caused by an increase in demand over the past three years, the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Recently, industrial buildings in the UK have come under threat due a lack of funding, despite being listed heritage sites.
