Author Chris Vine has revealed his battle with ME and how his garden shed provided him with a place to get his life back on track.
In an interview with The Herald Scotland, Mr Vine discussed being an engineer at Rolls-Royce before his health deteriorated and revealed that he has always had a love of all things mechanical.
When he was diagnosed with ME he decided to rekindle his passion for building engines and so retired to his garden shed with his radio and set to work on making them.
Mr Vine told the newspaper that his love affair with machines started when he was growing up in Kent and a friend's father built a railway between two farm houses.
Many celebrities past and present have used their garden shed as a place to find inspiration, including Snoop Dogg, who penned several of his hit songs in his shed, according to the Independent.
