Converting a garden shed from a storage space to a place which can be used for relaxation and entertainment requires time and creativity.
Dave Jones, an Environment Agency employee from Cardiff, told WalesOnline.co.uk that he and his girlfriend Emma transformed their garden shed into extra living space.
They divided the garden shed in half, with one side used for storing tools and the other for relaxing.
Mr Jones spent just £100 on improving his garden shed and told the news provider that anybody can achieve the same feats, with patience and creativity all that is needed.
"We divided the shed in two so we could use part of it for shed purposes and part of it as a kind of den anybody can do it with a bit of time and creativity," he added.
His garden shed is now in the running for the Shed of the Year competition.
He will face competition from a garden shed transformed into a Doctor Who Tardis and one which has been converted into a bar with Sky TV, a sound system and pub optics, the Sun reported.
