Couple turn garden shed into dog-friendly pub

A couple from Bracknell who grew disillusioned at the fact that no local pubs would allow dogs inside decided to turn their own garden shed into a watering hole where their pet could join them.

Helen Jackson and her partner Alex told getbracknell.co.uk that they originally built the garden shed to house their motorbikes however, paying for and building the necessary ramps was too frustrating.

Instead they decided to convert their garden shed into a pub called The Three Chickens after their pets.

Run purely as a social watering hole, there is no TV and no World Cup paraphernalia, with the couple keeping it a football-free zone.

Ms Jackson told the news provider that the shed feels like an authentic pub.

"We've got a load of lovely beer mats and some spirit optics, as well as a real ale tap. We tend to do mostly bottled beer as real ale goes off but we like to pull a pint. We also have a range of cocktails, so the chicken puns keep coming," she added.

Mark Jenkin, an entrepreneur from Lyme Regis, recently told the Bridport News that he is hoping to turn his garden shed into a microbrewery.
