A nurse from the Hampshire town of Fordingbridge has revealed that a business she started in her garden shed 18 months ago has become a thriving operation.
Speaking to the Salisbury Journal, Patricia Irons said her Care 4 U company has gone from strength-to-strength and now boasts 17 members of staff.
The firm, which aims to alleviate the pressures on local hospitals, cares for those who are terminally ill and recently relocated from the garden shed to a new office.
Ms Irons told the newspaper that her underlying concern was to help people rather than generating substantial profits.
"I began my company because I wanted to treat people before their illnesses or ailments reached the hospital stage. Care 4 U has never been about profit. I have always just wanted to help people," she added.
North Wales businessman John Dale recently told the Daily Post how his multi-million pound business was formed in a garden shed many years ago.
