St Helens garden shed features on TV

A family from St Helens who turned their garden shed into a bar so they could enjoy the World Cup have had their structure shown on TV.

The shed, belonging to Keith Birch, was featured on James Corden's World Cup Live programme on ITV, which covers all matters related to the tournament both on and off the pitch, the St Helens Star reported.

Mr Birch and his friends were recorded on last night's (Wednesday's) show sitting in the garden shed, with a webcam broadcasting live coverage to the ITV studio.

World Cup fever has gripped the nation and many families up and down the country have converted their garden sheds into places where they can enjoy the football.

One person to do so is Andy Butlers from Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, who showed Damien Fletcher from the Daily Mirror around his converted shed, which featured a flatscreen TV for him and his friends to watch the games on.
