Garden shed kitted out in England colours for World Cup

18:06:20 8th June 2010

A family in Lingside, Jarrow have decorated their garden shed and outdoor space in the colours of the England flag, reports the Jarrow and Hebburn Gazette.

The footie-mad Fay family have installed garden gnomes in the England kit, erected 18 flags, and covered their wheelie bins in white and red in order to celebrate the World Cup.

England play their first match of the tournament against the US on June 12th and the family hopes that the team will do better this year than they have in the past.

Tracey Fay told the news provider: "We're always daft when it comes to football. We did something similar for the last World Cup in Germany four years ago, but we're doing even more this time.

"We look anywhere we can to find England-related stuff. Basically, whatever is for sale, we'll buy it!"

When the tournament starts the family plans to put up an inflatable ten foot England player to show their support.
