As temperatures rise relax in the summerhouse

British citizens should make a jug of Pimms and retire to the summerhouse later this week as temperatures are set to soar.

According to the Met Office the UK will be experiencing the first taste of summer as the highest temperatures of the year so far are predicted.

Some parts of central and eastern England could see temperatures rise to 26C on Friday, a high not seen since September last year.

However while some parts of England will be warm, temperatures will only reach the low to mid 20s in the south-west due to warm air currents.

Martin Young, Met Office chief forecaster, said: "High temperatures coupled with humid conditions could trigger an isolated thunderstorm over one or two inland locations. Sea breezes will keep many coasts cooler but still fine with some sunshine."

A summerhouse may be handy in case the weather gets too hot as they can provide shade from the hot summer rays.

Last month the Telegraph reported that consumers were more likely to spend over £1000 on a summerhouse or garden shed as a way to increase their living space and make a retreat.
