Capital Steel Buildings could benefit those companies setting up on the site of redundant industrial buildings in Wales, some of which will be renovated with the help of a £1.6 million grant from the National Lottery.
Former industrial town Pontmorlais in Merthyr Tydfil will be transformed as industrial buildings are renovated in a bid to encourage businesses to set up there.
Particular interest will be paid to historical buildings on the High Street, many of which were built between 1770 and 1820, reports BBC News.
The money is part of the Heritage Lottery Fund's (HLF) Townscape Heritage Initiative which helps fund areas that have suffered serious economic decline.
Jennifer Stewart, head of HLF in Wales, told the news provider: "This money will help support local authorities and residents to transform their towns, making essential improvements and repairs that will encourage local businesses and visitors back into these once vibrant areas."
New businesses who move into the area could invest in a Capital Steel Building as they can be used for commercial and industrial storage.
These buildings are sturdy and secure as they are made from solid cold rolled high tensile steel.
