A Scottish gardening enthusiast now has a brand new garden shed in which to enjoy her hobby after she won a local newspaper competition.
June Buchan, who lives in Laurencekirk, Aberdeenshire, beat off stiff competition from thousands of other green-fingered readers of the Press and Journal to land the top prize.
By correctly answering daily questions and then solving a final puzzle, she managed to scoop the big prize of a £6,000 log cabin, which she she intends to use as a garden shed.
Speaking to the newspaper, Ms Buchan expressed her delight with her win, which is not the first in local competitions.
"I spend a lot of time in the garden, and am a bit of a sun worshipper, so I'm very pleased to have won," she added.
However, the lucky winner would be wise to follow the advice of Paisley police, who recently noted in the Paisley Daily Express that it pays to ensure a garden shed is kept secure at all times, lest a thief make off with valuable gardening equipment.
