Python rescued from garden shed
A python which had become trapped under a garden shed had to be rescued by the fire brigade.
That is according to a BBC report, which reveals that the 12 foot snake caused quite a stir in Fowey, Cornwall.
Worries that the snake may not survive the cooler temperatures after dark meant that a daring night time rescue had to be carried out.
According to the news provider, fire crews arrived at the scene just after half past midnight.
Together, the owner and the fire brigade managed to cut away part of the garden shed floor, successfully freeing the animal from its accidental captivity.
The python is not the first exotic creature to be rescued from a garden shed.
Back in February this year, a Bolivian monkey named Rolo had to be rescued by RSPCA operatives after being locked in a garden shed for so long that the poor creature had gone mad.
Now happily ensconced in a specialist zoo, Rolo has recovered his sanity and enjoys eating worms out of the hands of visitors.
