Garden Sheds - 1st Choice

Spruce-up your garden shed this spring

Garden sheds should be eye-catching rather than eyesores, especially down now that winter has drawn to a close and spring has begun in earnest.

Cheap sheds tend to be heavily used during the warmer months thanks to their versatility - while some use their garden shed for a home office, others use theirs as a workshop, summerhouse or a den for the children, lets-do-diy.com reports.

There are a number of different sheds to choose from depending on their desired purpose, from plastic garden sheds to garden home offices and everything else in between.

If you want to improve your existing garden shed ready for summer, the website recommends removing any flaky coating, dirt or debris that may have accumulated using a stiff brush.

At this point a makeover can begin, a process that usually starts with the application of a wood stain.

The turn of the seasons is also a good opportunity to clean out the shed's interior ahead of any summer usage.

An article in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday (March 20th) said that gardeners working in their sheds should take necessary precautions when handling compost, such as wearing latex gloves.
