Garden Sheds - 1st Choice

Garden shed centrepiece of unique photo exhibition

Some 13,000 photographs of a garden shed, taken by Irishman Norman Taylor before he lost his sight, will feature in a Belfast gallery next month.

The 66-year-old nature enthusiast has a lifelong passion for photography, and after being told that he was to lose his sight he set about taking as many images as he could, reports the Belfast Telegraph.

One of his favourite subjects was a garden shed, amassing thousands of pictures of it over the last two-and-a-half-years.

Mr Taylor told the news provider: "As I began to take pictures of the shed, I became quite excited and realised that it wasn't just an ordinary shed that was in front of me, but a three metre squared work of art."

The collection is to be exhibited at the Place Gallery in Belfast, following previous appearances at the Mill on the Fleet Gallery in Dumfries and the Royal National Institute of Blind People Gallery in Edinburgh.
