Community calls for donation of garden shed

Organisers of a new community garden are seeking the donation of a garden shed, as they begin the process of preparing plots.
Fountain County in the US is jumping on the community garden trend in a bid to improve the quality of life and eating habits of the local residents, reports commercialnews.com.
The organising committee is also hoping to foster an "atmosphere of community engagement and service".
Committee representative Amanda Smith told the news provider that reaching out to low-income families was an important feature of the garden.
"Fresh produce is expensive to buy and may not be an option for some people. But a garden will make your food dollars go further and will improve the nutritional value of your diet," she said.
"There's a desperate need for fresh vegetables in this area."
Meanwhile, Walton Community Garden is currently expanding its site with the addition of ten to 15 plots and the start of a shared corn garden, the Daily Star reports.
