Garden shed sought by expanding community garden

A garden shed is to be the latest addition to an organic community garden that encourages students to grow their own food.
Walton Community Garden in the US is currently expanding its site with the addition of ten to 15 plots and the start of a shared corn garden, the Daily Star reports.
The group is working to secure funds for purchasing community gardening tools and to put up a garden shed for storage.
Founder of the organisation Rebecca Morgan said the launch of the inaugural Farm to School season would hopefully get quality organic produce grown by students into the school cafeteria.
"We plan to pay six students and hope that other students will volunteer to help to earn community service credit," she told the news provider.
"We want people to make the most of everything they grow and really start saving money by growing their own food."
The shared garden was started in 2009, surviving numerous setbacks such as late season hail, twitch grass, cucumber beetles, cabbage moths, deer, groundhogs and late blight, said Ms Morgan on the group's blog.
