Spring is the time to start thinking about a new garden shed

17:02:20 11th February 2010

With the onset of spring just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start thinking about repairing or building the garden shed, it has been claimed.

The Estherville Daily News reports that people should begin investigating the cost and supply of materials such as plywood, felt, shingles and nails.

"Plans are available at local stores or on the internet or through the mail. Now would be a good time to decide where to site that garden shed and even what type of shutters to put on it," the news provider reports.

Other backyard jobs worth putting in the diary included planning what seeds to plant, and identifying an area in the garden to plant strawberries or asparagus.

Meanwhile, the Idaho Statesmen has produced a "Home and Garden To-Do List" for the month, which sets out a series of tasks that people can cross off their lists.

Getting rid of any unused paint in the garden shed was rated as a top priority by the news provider.
