Garden shed observatory to be constructed in historical gardens

Plans for an astronomical observatory, which resembles a garden shed, have been approved for historical gardens in Wales, it has been reported.
The South Wales Echo reveals the structure, "that looks like a glorified garden shed - albeit one with a sliding roof" is to be a new addition in Dyffryn Gardens.
The observatory has been described as a positive development for the site, and will include an observing area with a telescope and computer room.
Grahame Carter, project manager for Cardiff Astronomical Society, told the news provider: "Having lost its observatory in the 1970s, the society has been looking to locate a new observatory in a suitable location.
"The skies at this location are really quite good considering its proximity to the centre of a capital city."
Dyffryn Gardens has been rated as one of the best 100 gardens in the UK by the British Tourism Association.
The Grade One listed Edwardian garden is set over 55 acres and includes 30 themed areas and an arboretum.
