Youngsters receive new playhouses and garden area

New playhouses are to be created for children at a village pre-school near Bradford on Avon.

The Wiltshire Times reports that Hollyhocks Kindergarten has been awarded a £1,600 grant for a garden play area, which will go towards creating a unique, personalised space.

The children will create the playhouses themselves, and will also include a living willow screen, sand pit, vegetable beds, water feature and a shed for housing outdoor toys.

Garden organiser Joanna Wright told the news provider that the aim was to make the space "friendly and useful".

"We believe children should be outdoors and playing with outdoor things, learning about nature and the environment," she said.

"Weather permitting we are going to get started next week with planting and weaving the willow screen and play pods."

Meanwhile a set of abandoned water tanks at an Indian resort have been transformed into unique 'Taj Mahal' playhouses, providing younger guests with endless entertainment.ADNFCR-2655-ID-19590562-ADNFCR
