A garden shed in Australia is being used as a recording studio for an emerging hip hop band.

The 'Immortal Mindsets' trio has recorded seven songs and hopes to release an album by February, reports the Yorke Peninsula Country Times.

Formed around six months ago, the band now meets regularly in the garden shed turned recording studio. Their first live performance was held at an open mike day in November.

The goal now is to have an album ready by next month in a bid to be considered for a $10,000 (£5,549.24) grant for an emerging Australian hip hop band, the news provider reports.

Band member Brendan Briggs was quoted as saying: "I love hip hop because its unique and ultimately I'll be touring around with people noticing who I am, what I do and what I love."

Meanwhile Valerie Easton recently wrote in the Seattle Times that the humble garden shed was taking on new dimensions, being elaborately renovated for office spaces or made large enough to do yoga.ADNFCR-2655-ID-19580989-ADNFCR
