Metal shed benefits highlighted by firework damage risk
Those planning Chrismas and New Year celebrations in their gardens should be wary of the damage fireworks can do to buildings and ensure they don“t end up with a hefty repair bill.
Churchill Home Insurance revealed this week that almost two million homes in Britain have been damaged as a result of firework mishaps, with each incident costing an average of £307 to fix.
With such sums at stake, firework fanatics could benefit from investing in a Capital Steel Building metal shed, which will keep their equipment safe from damage.
The insurance company is urging people to check whether their existing home insurance covers damage caused by fireworks or out-of-control bonfires, as households can be held liable for harm to property or personal injury.
Many insurance policies do not cover damage to sheds and outbuildings and some include a “duty of care“ clause meaning that sufficient precautions against danger must be taken.
Those wanting to buy a fire-resistant building should find out more about the Capital Steel small industrial sheds as these would be resistant to errent foreworks.
