Last chance to vote in 2012 garden competition

The deadline for votes in the Royal Horticultural Society´s (RHS) competition to find a garden design for the site of the 2012 Olympics closes later this week (30th October).

Twelve amateur designers are in contention for the Great British Garden competition, and the winning design will be created in a quarter of an acre site at the Olympic Park in collaboration with a world-class team of landscape gardeners.

Shortcut to Malvern Potting Solar Shed Six finalists were short listed from both age categories, over and under sixteen years old.

Entrants were asked to submit a design on A4 paper of what they would like their garden to look or feel like and a short explanation, with the competition being designed to reflect the unique qualities of gardens in Britain.

The RHS hopes the garden will leave a legacy for future generations to enjoy.

Thousands have already voted online at the organisation´s Great British Garden Competition website.

Earlier this month, the RHS announced its programme of events to keep garden enthusiasts busy in the quiet autumn and winter period.
